After a lil bit of blood, alot of sweat, an no tears (no crying for lilwodguy). Here is the finished walnut cradle.
My very next post will include how this all came together, to include glue-ups, and how the legs were cut after glue up for sizing and leveling. Thanks again for taking a look!
To take words from a great song... Another one bites the dust (sawdust).
Not even tears of joy?
ReplyDeleteRonnie,
DeleteNot even tears of joy for this lilwoodguy. The recipient on the other-hand maybe :-)
that looks awesome, in your bio you say your not an expert, but that looks expert quality.
ReplyDeleteIf you were to inspect this furniture closely in person you would find "character", as I like to call my errors. There are some slight gaps at joints here and there, but overall I am very satisfied. The two cradles were my first furniture projects, and the 5 degree angles of the rails and spindals did present challenges.
ReplyDeleteI am looking to do something square for my next furniture project. Thank you Phil for the kind words.
That's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely gorgeous. Great job. Something defiantly worth patting yourself on the back.
ReplyDeleteThank you Lynn. It was a real challenge getting it done on time.
